Information for Patients

We are a training practice meaning that we have a GP Registrar, a qualified doctor doing their final years of specialist General Practice training before becoming a fully fledged GP. They are with us for 6 months or a year depending on their stage of training. While they are with us they are an integral part of our team. You will be offered appointments with them and they will run Open and pre-booked surgeries like all the other partners.

At different times in the year we also have FY2 doctors attached. These are also qualified doctors but they are at an earlier stage of their training. We hope to encourage them into General Practice.

During the course of the year they will all have "Shared Surgeries" which will involve another doctor sitting in the room observing them and they will have "Video Surgeries" which are hugely important for their learning.

You will be asked to sign a consent form if you agree to your consultation being videoed. This will only be used as a teaching tool and is strictly confidential.

We also host Medical Students from Swansea and Cardiff throughout the year.

Information for Registrars

We are a friendly and enthusiastic practice who (re)commenced Training in 2009. We are a close knit team with minimal turnover of staff; many of whom have been with the surgery for over 15 years (some more!).

Our Trainers are Dr Ruth Dare and Dr Jamie Davies but all the Partners, and staff are fully engaged in the process of teaching and training. You are guaranteed to not only enjoy your time here but also to leave with a huge amount of clinical experience.

We also host Medical Students from Swansea and Cardiff throughout the year.

Please come and visit us if you are interested in spending your ST2/ST3 time here.
